BLACK BELT BOOT CAMP!!!

ok, the first MAJOR hurdle in my mind is the Annual Black Belt Boot Camp.....an evil-sadistic-necessary evil (according to Hanshi)....we travel to Georgia West (8/15/08) at 7:00pm......to Sensai Flore's reincarnation of an authentic Okinawan Dojo:

No AC
No windows
1 bathroom
1 shower
1 area of sleeping quarters
bugs: ants, mosquitos, flying cockroaches (the size of your fist), maybe some wild animals

Beach Training on Sunday (8/17/08) in Corpus Cristi

I think the worst part for me will be the morning run, no bath and no AC....HELP ME NOW!!!

This is the beginning!! I LOVE this picture....

I found karate, or karate found me at the age of 34.....I started out looking for a way to lose some weight....get some regular cardio in.....so I signed up for Karate Kick-Boxing at the same place my kids were taking karate. The instructor, Hanshi Wright, made me a deal....he said, "I will throw in the kick-boxing class for free, IF, you join the Adult Karate Class"......and that's how karate found me.....or I found karate.....

We (my kids O'Rian and Lydia) test for black belt this October (2008)....
